Ridge Paradise

Ridge is the Paradise site of RPC, as well as the original site/location of our church. Launched in 1987, Ridge has met in office parks, schools, performance halls, and community centers. This all changed in November 2018 when the Camp Fire devastated the town of Paradise. Our church office as well as our Sunday worship locations were all destroyed. But the CHURCH is still alive and well!

We are currently meeting in the Charter Hall of Paradise United Methodist. And we are eager to see what God has in store for us next as the recovery in Paradise continues.

We gather together in the Chapel at 9:30am to enter into worship through the Word, Prayer, Song, and Fellowship. Through it all, our main purpose is this: to see the gospel of Christ proclaimed in every single thing we do.

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Josh moved to California in 2009 to serve RPC. He currently resides in Chico, but serves both church sites on Sundays and throughout the week. Associate Pastor
Bryan came to us in 2015 to serve RPC as an intern/assistant. Just recently, he was called by the church to serve as our Associate Pastor. He and his wife Angie currently reside in Paradise, but Bryan serves both church sites on Sundays and throughout the week. Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Madeline joined our team in the summer of 2025. She has a wealth of experience working with kids, both in the church and outside of it. Kid’s Ministry Leaders
Both Sarah and Tabitha are our the weekly teachers in our Littles and Bigs classes. They are the friendly faces you can expect to see each week when you drop your kiddos off for Sunday School or Nursery Care, and work closely with Madeline in coordinating children’s ministry in Paradise. Kids Ministry

Nursery Class

Infants - 3 yrs.

Nursery age and Toddlers have a dedicated space in the children's wing across the courtyard that is open for the entire worship service. Our weekly teacher Tabitha and a rotating team of volunteers are ready to love on our families and model the love of Jesus to our little ones. This space is set up to be flexible to meet the children’s needs for movement and comfort.

Runners Class

3 yrs. - TK

Pre-K aged kids are encouraged to stay in the sanctuary for worship singing. Their Sunday School class begins right afterwards in the kid's wing. Our purpose for Sunday School is the same as our purpose for the main worship service—to proclaim the gospel of Jesus in every prayer, song, and Bible Story we teach our kids.

Elementary CLASS

Kinder - 2nd Grade

Early Elementary aged kids are also encouraged to stay in the sanctuary for worship singing. Their Sunday School class begins right afterwards in the kid's wing. Our purpose for Sunday School is the same as our purpose for the main worship service—to proclaim the gospel of Jesus in every prayer, song, and Bible Story we teach our kids.

Worship Guides

 3rd Grade & Up

Kids 9 & up are invited to stay in the Sanctuary with their parents to learn the rhythms of full Sunday worship.  Worship Guides are provided at the sanctuary doors to help engage kids more fully in the sermon.  Kids can turn in eight completed Worship Guides to Sarah for a prize.
